In 2005, 122,259 marriage licenses were issued in Clark County. Las Vegas is a popular site for weddings in part because the only requirement is a license. The licenses cost $55, payable in cash only. The license office is open 24 hours during holidays, and 8 a.m. to midnight all other days. No blood tests are needed and there is no waiting period. Once a license is obtained, it can be used up to one year later. There are many wedding chapels located around Las Vegas and most casinos include one.
