Craig Ranch Golf Course/Regional Park, acquired by the Parks and Recreation Department in 2005, is the most mature 18-hole golf course in North Las Vegas. This PAR 70 course plays to 6,023 yards and was designed to provide an exciting round of golf for all levels of play. The course has more than 6,000 trees that line narrow fairways and small greens. Accuracy is a must. The facility has a natural turf driving range, grass chipping area, and putting green. The Pro Shop provides a selection of golf supplies, and a full service snack bar offers food and beverages. Golf dress code is enforced.
Craig Ranch Golf Course closed at the end of April 2009. These 150 acres will be turned into a major regional park for the citizens of North Las Vegas. As of Mar 2013 the park is over a year behind schedule and has not opened yet. In the past, Craig Ranch Golf Course has been the location for a Baloonapaloza celebration in the fall with 12 to 20 colorful baloons from around the region taking off in the mornings.
